Private, structured grief recovery
Beyond simply coping with grief, to feeling lighter, freer – and able to live your life again.
Jess Goyder · Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist
Online across the UK · In person in Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds
"I found Jess at my absolute lowest. I felt like I was trapped in loops of grief and felt very alone and depressed. I cannot stress how much this process has changed me and my approach to grief. I feel like I've reached an emotional clarity and mental state in 6 months that I never had close to in my life before."
Tom, London
Everything you’re feeling is natural.
Grief is a normal response to loss and change — however it feels for you: the deepest despair, relief, guilt, numbness, or all of it at once. If you're grieving, there's absolutely nothing about you that needs fixing. You may have found time alone doesn't heal. But the right structure will.

"Last year I worked through some substantial grief and have had profound healing through a process that was guided and supported by Jess. She has quite literally changed how I feel not only about the situations but also about myself."

The Method, Done Properly
At the core of this work is The Grief Recovery Method® – an evidence-based programme built to help you take meaningful action on what's still unfinished after loss. When I take you through it, we follow it exactly as it's designed.
The structure is fixed. How I take you through it isn't. Every life history is different, every loss has its own impact and ripple effects. I stitch the work around the person in front of me, not the other way round. I sense what you're ready for, and we don't move faster than that.
I'm only interested in real hope – the kind built on meeting life where it actually is, and on promises we can actually keep.
Sometimes simply getting through the day is a huge achievement. But we're not here only to help you feel better for an afternoon or a few days. We're forensic about getting to the roots, however lightly and gently we go about it. And I won't ask you to do emotional work I'm not prepared to keep doing myself. It's the least I can do.
See exactly how the sessions work
I also offer specialist one-to-one sessions outside the full programme, when that's the better fit.
I can't recommend Jess enough - her level of intelligence is matched only by her empathy and willingness to flex to the needs and place of the person she's working with. Totally rigorous and incredibly kind. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thanks!”
Mike, Oxford
Grief isn’t only bereavement
Divorce · Estrangement · A break up · Pet loss · Infertility · Loss of health · Loss of identity · Career changes · The relationship you may never have with a parent · The future you expected to have
Some of this may be recent. Some of it may have been with you for decades.
Whoever you are, however together or capable you look on the outside – if grief has left you stuck, lost, or simply wanting more, this is built for you.
"Thank you for helping me achieve completeness with issues that have been with me for over 50 years. I can go forward in a positive way and at peace."
Jackie, Suffolk
If you want something to change
Perhaps what you most want is simply your life back.
Not the life you had before, as if it never happened. Not a life where what happened no longer matters. And not that awful expression, "moving on."
A life where grief exists, but very differently. A life where there's room again for everything that’s still possible from here.
If you'd like to explore whether this work is right for you, you're welcome to book a short conversation. I'll reply personally and we can work out what kind of support would be most useful.
